DELAWARE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MEETING

July 14, 2008

The Board of County Commissioners of Delaware County, Oklahoma, met in Regular Session on July 14, 2008 at  9:03 A.M.   Agenda was posted July 9, 2008 at 4:00 P.M. on east entrance door.  This meeting was recessed at 12:00 PM .

 

Members of the Board present were Chairman-Ken Crowder, Commissioner Billy Cornell-Member and Commissioner  Dave Kendrick-Member.  The Board of Delaware County Commissioners are hereby authorized to take action on the following items:

 

AGENDA #1-A motion was made by Commissioner Kendrick and seconded by Commissioner Cornell to approve the agenda as posted.  Roll call: Commissioner Crowder-yes, Commissioner Kendrick-yes, Commissioner Cornell-yes. Motion carried.

AGENDA #6-A motion was made by Commissioner Cornell and seconded by Commissioner Kendrick to approve pledge of  financial support of the Delaware Co. Clerk’s office by Delaware Co. AGENDA #7-A motion was made by Commissioner  Crowder and seconded by Commissioner Cornell  to approve county bridge and road improvement fund engineering contract with Rose & McCrary on Hog Creek Bridge (62) 28-22-25.  Roll call: Commissioner Crowder-yes, Commissioner Kendrick-yes, Commissioner Cornell-yes. Motion carried.

 

AGENDA #8-A motion was made by Commissioner Kendrick and seconded by Commissioner Crowder to advertise for sealed bids on replacement of windows at the Delaware Co. Community Center, Jay, OK.  Bids will be opened and reviewed with possible acceptance in regular meeting date 8/25/08 at 9:00AM in the Commissioner’s meeting room  Jay, OK.  Bids will be received no later than 8/22/08 at 4:00PM in the County Clerk’s office Jay, Ok.  Roll call:  Commissioner  Crowder-yes, Commissioner Kendrick-yes,  Commissioner Cornell-yes.  Motion carried.

 

AGENDA #9-A motion was made by Commissioner Kendrick and seconded by Commissioner Cornell to advertise for sealed bids on native materials for a six month period.  Bids will be opened and reviewed with possible acceptance in regular meeting dated 8/4/08 at 9:00AM in the Commissioners meeting room, Jay, OK.  Bids will be received no later than 8/1/08 at 4:00PM in the County Clerk’s office Jay, OK.  Roll Call:  Commissioner Crowder-yes, Commissioner Kendrick-yes, Commissioner Cornell-yes.  Motion carried.

 

AGENDA #10-A motion was made by Commissioner Crowder and seconded by Commissioner Kendrick to advertise by sealed bids the replacement of roof on the Delaware Co. Community Center building in Jay, OK.  Bids will be opened and reviewed in regular meeting dated 9/8/08 at 9:00 AM in the Commissioners meeting room Jay, OK.  Bids will be received no later than 9/5/08 at 4:00PM in the County Clerk’s office Jay, OK.  Roll Call:  Commissioner Crowder-yes, Commissioner Kendrick-yes, Commissioner Cornell-yes.  Motion carried.

 

AGENDA #11-A motion was made by Commissioner Crowder and seconded by Commissioner Kendrick to receive and forward to insurance company the Notice of Tort claim from Jacki Miller for damages to vehicle.    Roll Call:  Commissioner Crowder-yes, Commissioner Kendrick-yes, Commissioner Cornell-yes.  Motion carried.

 

AGENDA #12-A motion was made by Commissioner Kendrick and seconded by Commissioner Crowder to open and review all bids on asphalt for Special Project for Dist. #3 with possible acceptance.  The following bids have been received: Longan Construction-$69.50 per ton delivered; APAC, Inc.(Fayetteville) $62.50 plus $8.00 delivery fee per ton.  The bid from APAC, Inc. was accepted as the best bid due to job location allowing more tons to be delivered per day and asphalt temperature would be higher upon delivery.  Roll Call:  Commissioner Crowder-yes, Commissioner Kendrick-yes, Commissioner Cornell-yes.  Motion carried.

 

AGENDA #13-A motion was made by Commissioner Crowder and seconded by Commissioner Kendrick to table for one more week 7/21/08 the action to discuss contract with Spirit Architecture Group LLC for the Delaware Co. Courthouse Security Study.  Roll Call: Commissioner Crowder-yes, Commissioner Kendrick-yes, Commissioner Cornell-yes.  Motion carried.

 

AGENDA #14-A motion was made by Commissioner Kendrick and seconded by Commissioner Cornell to approve of bid of $350.00 by Deangelo Williamson on property not sold at tax sale as listed: Flint Ridge 4 Indian Springs area Lot 23, Blk. 28, Lot 22, Blk. 28; Flint Ridge 4 Indian Valley area Lot 9, Blk. 29; Flint Ridge 4 Indian Point area Lot 10, Blk. 30.  The motion to approve entering into lake access agreement was not needed-no action was taken..  Roll Call:  Commissioner Crowder-yes, Commissioner Kendrick-yes, Commissioner Cornell-yes.  Motion carried.

 

AGENDA #15-A motion was made by Commissioner Crowder and seconded by Commissioner Kendrick to approve corrected lease purchase agreement between Adirondack Fire Equipment and Bernice FD.  The corrected is due to incorrect monthly payment schedule from $1062.48 to $1064.08.  Roll Call:  Commissioner Crowder-yes, Commissioner Kendrick-yes, Commissioner Cornell-yes.  Motion carried.
