DELAWARE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS SPECIAL MEETING

June 16, 2008

The Board of County Commissioners of Delaware County, Oklahoma, met in Special Session on June 16, 2008 at  6:00 P.M. at the Grove Community Center, Grove, Oklahoma. Agenda was posted June 11, 2008 at 12:15 P.M. on east entrance door of the courthouse.  This meeting was adjourned at 7:15 P.M.

Members of the Board present were Commissioner Ken Crowder-Chairman, Commissioner Billy Cornell-Member and Commissioner  Dave Kendrick-Member.  Board of Delaware County Commissioners are hereby authorized to take action on the following items:

AGENDA #1-A motion was made by Commissioner Crowder and seconded by Commissioner Cornell to approve the agenda as posted.  Roll call: Commissioner Crowder-yes, Commissioner Cornell-yes, Commissioner Kendrick-yes. Motion carried.

AGENDA #2-A motion was made by Commissioner Crowder and seconded by Commissioner Cornell to open the floor for public informational meeting to present the proposed Grand Lake Economic Development and Tourism Project Plan for the redevelopment of the formerly bankrupt Shangri-La Resort on Monkey Island by the Peninsula Resort & Club-Grand Lake, LLC. Roll call:  Commissioner Crowder-yes, Commissioner Cornell-yes, Commissioner Kendrick-yes.  Motion carried.  A presentation was given by attorney, Dan Batchelor.

After overview of project plan was given, Dan Batchelor opened the floor for discussion and questions. 

A final brief summary of the proposed project plan was given by Dan Batchelor in conclusion of the meeting.

Commissioner Crowder adjourned the meeting at 7:15 P.M.
